I'm fairly sure 90% of you regular readers wouldn't mind that you skip a week or 2-3 of updates, especially considering you've also had a several month hiatus a few months back. if you don't expect any updates, either because of a random schedule or because of an announced break, people will actually be more likely to be pleased when there is an unexpected update, while people will be angry if there's no update when it's planned.
